Shahzad Qasim
President, Europe, Africa and the Middle East
Shahzad Qasim is regional President of the Europe, Africa and Middle East group. Since joining AES in 1992, Shahzad has held various senior leadership positions, including Senior Vice President and Group Manager of AES in the Middle East and North Africa, where he worked in business development and subsequently led the company's business operations.
Prior to AES, Shahzad was with the consulting firms McKinsey and Company and Stone and Webster Management Consultants. He also held operating and staff positions with Consolidated Edison Company of New York.
He holds an MS in Energy Management and Policy from the University of Pennsylvania and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the NED University of Engineering and Technology in Karachi, Pakistan.

My felicitations to Shahzad Qasim Bhaijan on this promotion. Is he a member of this group? Are these
messages getting through to him somehow?? At times we learn of a joyous moment or a tragedy
concerning a Kohatian on this Group and then we all
convey our feelings, but do they ever reach the appropriate person, if he is not a member of the
Group? Can we think of some way of communicating all such messages to the right person in such cases.
